  • Identify those limiting beliefs: The first step towards rewiring your limiting belief system is to identify those belief systems and knowing the kind of thoughts that you think and the kind of things that you believe that are limiting to your mind and that holds you back from the life you were meant to live.
  • Understand that they exist only in your mind: These limiting beliefs are holding you captive only in your mind and the earlier you understand and work towards dismantling those thoughts from your head then the better for you. Remember that whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
  • Challenge those beliefs daily: The only way you can totally get rid of negative beliefs from your mind is to replace them with uplifting ones. When you challenge those limiting beliefs, replace them with more empowering ones so you leave no room for the limiting beliefs to come back to thrive.
  • Use positive thinking: Thinking positively will enable you to fill in your mind with empowering thoughts as you let go of limiting ones. Positive thinking everyday will enable you to overcome and override limiting beliefs. Practice positive thinking and affirmations.
  • Start a gratitude journal: While you have some negative things in your life that you want to get rid of, you should also focus on the positive qualities that you possess. You should be thankful for the good and positive things you have while preparing for the overhaul of the negative ones.
  • Affirm new beliefs loudly: Don’t just think it, say it too and say it out loud to yourself. You need to actually hear yourself saying these things because if you tell it to yourself long enough, then you will start to believe it. Don’t be discouraged if in the beginning, it does not seem like things are changing.
  • Be consistent: Discipline will get you started, while consistency will keep you going. Don’t get tired of working to get rid of those limiting beliefs. There is light at the end of the tunnel , and you will meet this light if you do not give up.
  • Stay away from triggering environments: When you are always close to environments that get you triggered and reinforce your limiting beliefs, you may find it difficult to dismantle those limiting beliefs. Try to stay away from those places that tend to reinforce those beliefs.
  • Get a mentor: A mentor can help you and guide you through these trying times. This mentor should be an older, experienced person that holds you accountable and you can respect their words.
  • See a therapist: You may need to seek professional help to overcome those limiting beliefs. A therapist will help you unpack those baggage and you get to deal with the issue from the root.
