- Move out of your comfort zone: The first step to dealing with stagnation is to move out of your comfort zone. Remember that our comfort zone has been conditioned to keep us in mediocrity. Your comfort zone will keep you stagnant and in the same position from year to year because there is no challenge.
- Try out something new: Stagnation is as a result of doing the same thing you have always been doing with little to no result. When you try something new, you force the stattus quo to change and you break out of the chains of stagnation.
- Don’t be afraid to fail: Sometimes, the reason that we continue to remain in stagnantion and mediocrity is because we are afraid of trying out that new thing only to have it flop and not work out in the end. When we let fear lead us rather than faith, we remain in mediocrity. It is far better to try and fail than to not try at all.
- Make friends that are action takers: When you have friends that are basically hypemen; that encourage you everyday to take action, friends that are go- getters with the mindset of winners and highly positive friends, then you are bound to embrace that same energy as time goes on, because energy is not static, it transfers.
- Leave friends that are stagnant: When two people are in a mud pit, they do not look to each other to get themselves out, rather they would need external help from someone above or outside the pit to get them out by bringing them a ladder or a rope.
- Create a strong why: When you have a strong why, you would have a very good reason to wake up every morning to work towards your goals, sometimes, this strong reason will be so potent that you would not need an alarm clock to wake you up. What is your greatest inspiration? Why do you have to put in this work? That is your strong why.
- Create a reward system: A reward system can be very potent in keeping you in track towards the life you desire for yourself A reward system will make it exciting to do the work required to get out of stagnation because you know that at the end of your work, you get a reward.
